Actor Casts own Rescue Dog in Upcoming Film

Actor Bradley Cooper casts his own pet in his next movie.

Actor Bradley Cooper is known as one of the best actors in the world. But the 43-year old actor has been making news recently for his preference of actors to share the screen with. In his latest flick, Cooper decided to cast his own dog, Charlie, to play a role. Charlie was cast as the dog in his upcoming movie “A Star is Born” with co-star Lady Gaga. Cooper and the singer Lady Gaga play musicians Jackson and Ally in the movie.

“There was no nepotism. I wanted this relationship with the dog. Jackson and Ally don’t have a child together but they have a dog together, and I wanted it to be part of their story. I love dogs,” Cooper said at the premiere of his movie last week. He also said that since the appearance of Charlie in the movie, he has become something of a Celebrity.

“Charlie has an agent. I don’t talk to him much anymore. He doesn’t return my calls. He always walks away from me unless I have food.” Cooper has always been known as a dog lover to his fans. He has shared the stories of his dogs, who are all rescue adopted dogs, through social media. Cooper adopted Charlie, a chow-retriever mix that he rescued in 2010 at an adoption event in California. Cooper named the dog after his late father.

This isn’t the first time that Cooper has cast people from his personal life in his films. He already cast a grad school friend in one film, and even his ear doctor in another movie.
