There have been several stories that have come out about the recent wedding of Meghan Markle and Prince Harry, but one of the more adorable stories has been about Markle’s dog. Markle had to know what she would be giving up in marrying into the royal family. She would have to give up a lot of things in her life, but one of the things that she kept from her previous life is her dog Guy.
After the wedding, Markle’s dog, Guy, was seen attending the reception. According to some news reports, the dog was seen lapping up spilled drinks at the party. Guy made the trip across the pond and he even got to meet the Queen at Windsor. There have been pictures of the Royal introduction. Apparently Markle was able bring her dog over from Toronto when she moved to England. Sadly, not all of her pets made the move. One of her dogs, Bogart, had to be left behind.
“Well, I have two dogs that I’ve had for quite a long time, both my rescue pups,” she said. “And one is now staying with very close friends and my other little guy is—yes he’s in the U.K., he’s been here for a while. I think he’s doing just fine.” Before Markle deleted her Instagram account, she had a few pictures with her dogs. She even had Guy pose in a Union Jack sweater.
It seems that Markle also has a way with dogs. It was reported that when she met the Queen for the first time, she won over the affection of the Royal corgis. “The corgis took to you straight away!” Prince Harry said to Markle in an interview. “I’ve spent the last 33 years being barked at, and this one [Meghan] walks in, absolutely nothing.”
