Earlier this week, a group of service dogs were taken for a special trip to the most magical place on earth. These lucky canines were taken to Disneyland. The entire trip was documented and posted on social media, where they have gone viral. Not only do the dogs look adorable in their Disney theme park gear, but they seemed to have a lot of fun during their trip to the famous theme park.
The service dogs are part of an organization called Canine Companions for Independence. The organization is nonprofit and provides service dogs to people with disabilities. Not only that, but they offer these service dogs at no cost. The trip to the Disney theme park was a little challenging, but it tested them in an environment that required practice, patience, and attentiveness. Aside from giving the dogs a wonderful experience, it was also a good way to test how they would be able to handle large crowds and public gatherings.
One of the handlers of the dogs, Kendra Clark, says meeting the Disney characters was among the favorite parts of the trip for the service dogs. According to Clark, the dogs will definitively be back for another trip later on this year. Disneyland park is the first Disney theme park built. It is located in Anaheim, California, and opened in July 1955. It was the first of two theme parks to carry the name Disney. It was also the only theme park designed and built under the supervision of Walt Disney himself. The park receives close to 20 million visitors each year.
